What are Echo Seeds?
Echo Seeds are a type of curiosity that can be found in Corrupted Worlds. They are spherical objects that emit a faint glow and a distorted sound. They contain the memories and data of the Autophage race and can be used to restore their lost technology and culture.
Echo Seeds are valuable for the Singularity Update expedition, a community event that aims to revive the Autophage race and unlock new rewards. The expedition has several milestones that require players to collect a certain number of Echo Seeds and deliver them to a special terminal. The more Echo Seeds the community collects, the more rewards they will get, such as:
- New decals and banners
- New titles and emotes
- New blueprints and upgrades
- A new starship design
How to Find Echo Seeds in No Man's Sky?
To find Echo Seeds, you need to use an Echo Locator, a device that can be obtained from Corrupted Sentinels. Corrupted Sentinels are hostile robots that patrol Corrupted Worlds and attack any intruders. They have a red glow and a distorted appearance, and can drop an Echo Locator when defeated.
The Echo Locator is a device that can scan the nearby area and reveal the location of an Echo Seed.
However, the device only works in certain conditions, such as:
- You need to be on a Corrupted World
- You need to have a clear line of sight to the sky
- You need to avoid interference from other sources, such as buildings, ships, or other players
If you meet these requirements, you can activate the Echo Locator and follow the marker to the Echo Seed. Once you find it, you can collect it and use it for the Singularity Update expedition.
How to Find a Corrupted World in No Man's Sky?
Corrupted Worlds are a new type of planet that can be found in No Man’s Sky. They are infected by a mysterious force that alters their appearance and atmosphere. They have a dark and gloomy look, with twisted vegetation and structures. They also have a high level of toxicity and radiation, making them dangerous to explore.
To find a Corrupted World, you need to use an Anomaly Detector, a device that can scan for anomalous signals in space. Anomaly Detectors can be crafted from Metal Plating, Sodium Nitrate, and Wiring Looms. They can also be purchased from Space Stations or obtained from Frigate missions.
Once you have an Anomaly Detector, you need to use it in your starship while flying in space. The device will scan for anomalous signals and direct you to a nearby Corrupted World. You can then land on the planet and start looking for Echo Seeds.
